Young Senator Honored at 21C

In what may be one of the better twists of irony around here, facebook’s former General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer swept into 21c Saturday night for a New Leaders Council (“NLC”) event without so much as a post or a comment. Chris Kelly, who said his focus is now in online video for high impact companies, was here to grow the six year-old New Leaders Council from 25 chapters to every area in the country.

Kentucky Senator Morgan McGarvey, was the man of the hour, lauded by a star studded group of state pols and supporters for his 40 under 40 award from the NLC. Kelly said the group is looking for Millennials in politics with “good progressive values”. Participation in local community efforts is a plus as “it’s not just about electoral politics,” Kelly said.

Young business leaders from the public and private sector and entrepreneurs should check out the NLC if interested. Visit their website.  You can follow Senator McGarvey on Twitter at @MorganMcGarvey.  As for Chris Kelly, I bet his facebook profile is private but you can try.
